She applauds her mentors who continue to guide as she navigates industry an continues to develop her skill. The big goal is to venture into cake art full time specialising in wedding and novelty cakes. Currently, as she juggles family, a banking career, and the cake business, planning helps to keep the balance.
To anyone pursuing an area of passion, her advice is to invest in your trade, be willing to put in the hours required for you to succeed. Be a student; keep looking for new opportunities to learn and find ways to differentiate yourself from the competition. When you stand out, people can’t ignore your presence.
When she is not creating art with fondant or cracking figures behind her desk as a banker, Wambui enjoys spending time with family and staying fit. She is a fitness enthusiast who spends most of her free time outdoors jogging, hiking, or working out in the gym.
